The Verve - The Thaw Sessions

You can download the latest from the Verve at the site above. Its 14 minutes of studio session that isn't much of a song but more of sound. From the beginning it sounds just like U2 with Richard Ashcroft doing his best Bono impression. The music is slow and gradually builds into an atmospheric haze reminicent of classic Verve. Its not bad and I do like parts of the track but it doesn't really give you a glimpse into where they are going for some new music. You can't tell if the songs will be slow and melodic or if there will be some rockin ones.
