Guitar Hero World Tour
Monday, September 29, 2008
Move over Rock Band because Guitar Hero will be releasing their own drums, microphone and extra guitar next month. For $189 you can get the whole kit including game but you will still need 3 other friends to play along. I have yet to play Rock Band but looking at the line up of songs for GH World Tour, this will be a must have. Black Rebel Motorcycle, Bon Jovi, The Cult, Dinosaur Jr, Foo Fighters, REM and Oasis are just a few on this release which features more alternative songs than before. Don't forget there is the Aerosmith edition for all you purists that you can pick up as well.

Mario Cart Wii
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
Erika bought me the Mario Cart Wii game yesterday and let me tell ya, it's a lot of fun. The game comes with a steering wheel that you put the remote into and use to drive the game. I have been wanting a steering wheel and race game for a while but hadn't found I really liked. Mario Cart is your typical Nintendo, cartoonesque with silly graphics and challenges. You choose out of 8 characters and can play in traditional races, time trials, against multiple people or over the internet. Just like Guitar Hero, this game is very addicting and one can pickup in no time. By the 2nd or 3rd race you have it figured out so there is little frustration.

Guitar Hero Rulz
Monday, December 31, 2007
We got Guitar Hero III for the Wii and it rocks. The guitar is a Gibson Les Paul and you stick the remote inside to control. Its wireless which is nice and is very addicting. It has taken a lot of practice with the song on slow and then normal speed but we are finally getting the hang of it. We are also only on the easy level which only uses three notes which can be problematic when you know the song and are skipping notes that you think you should be playing. Once we master the three notes we can then move onto 4 and 5.
Our only complaint has to do with the acid trip you get after watching for too long. With the moving screen you turn your eyes away and it looks like everything around you is morphing. It started with the tv stand then moved onto the cats and the walls. Other than that the game is amazing and I highly recommend. Tonight we will be ringing in the new year with some good champagne and a plastic guitar.......
