While searching on the EarthDesk site I came across this one called OSXPlanet. I don't know if they have a version for PC users but for all you Mac loyalists you can have it. Its very cool, it gives you a view of earth from space, it lists all the active volcano's, cloud movement, hurricane/storm updates and paths, satellite orbits and earthquakes which you can set to show only above a certain magnitude (I have it on 6.5). Check out the program (if you have a mac) and see for yourself.....
