We are looking at a new camera and I have narrowed down the choices to the following three.
Panasonic Lumix-DMC-FX07K
Canon PowerShot SD1000
Casio Exilm Card-EX-S770
All are 7.1 megapixels, compact/slim design, image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, extrabright LCD display (for outoor viewing) and fast shutter/recovery speed.
The differences are the LCD screen size and viewfinder. Casio has the largest LCD screen at 2.8" and the other two are only 2.5". Only the Canon has a viewfinder the other two use the LCD to take the photos. This isn't that big of a deal since most people look at the back of the camera when taking photos but it is a concern when you are outside. Since all of them have the extrabright screen that shouldn't matter anymore.
The last part comes down to comfort, ease of use and look. I love the Canon for the square design, love the Casio for the larger LCD and love the Panasonic for the better image stabilization. All three are roughly the same size, all pocket cameras but the Canon is the smallest. If anyone has any input on the three cameras feel free to post a comment. As for price, all are about the same.
