Kali Hart Vineyard Chardonnay 2005

I jumped in blind to this one, Ed at Simply Wine just got it in and wanted me to try it. Its the 2nd label from Talbott Vineyards which is out in Monterey County, California. Price wise you are looking at $15-$18 a bottle which can be a lot for an everyday drinking Chardonnay but its worth every penny.

You have a mouthful of fruit up front with lots of tropical flavors bursting thru. If you are not a fan of the over oaked chards of Australia and 90s California you will enjoy this one. There is a slight oak flavor but the pear and butter stand out. The finish is long and lingers on your tongue. This wine is very rich and would go well with crab legs.
