Detroit Uncorked

Erika and I plan on going again this year, if anyone is interested let me know. Last year we had a great time, sampled a ton of wines, and afterwards went to Agave on Woodward. We havnt been back there since but this would be a good reason to go back again. While on the wine subject, I got a letter back from State Rep Andy Meisner who stated that he supports direct shipping and is working on the issue. I plan on pressing him more to make sure he sticks with it.

A special ticket pre-sale for the second annual Detroit Uncorked, being held Friday, October 7 from 6:30-9 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit is underway FOR DWO MEMBERS ONLY. Considering that tickets for last year's event sold out in advance, this is a great opportunity for DWO members to secure their place at the Midwest's premier wine event before tickets go on sale to the general public on July 15.
We're pleased to announce that Ford Motor Co. is our presenting sponsor once again, and that proceeds from the event will go to The Children's Center, a Detroit-based charity that serves kids and families at risk. The event will feature 800 wines from around the world, light hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, a silent auction and more.
DWO members will also receive $5 off the regular ticket price of $75.
Click here to purchase your tickets now.
