The spirit has moved Spiritualized frontman J. Spaceman to drop in from out there and lay this juicy little tidbit on us via a MySpace bulletin: the forthcoming, as-yet-untitled Spiritualized LP will be released May 19 in the UK and Europe on Universal/Spaceman Records. A North American release date is on its way, as are plans for a full-blown world tour.

Wow, 2008 is shaping up to be a great year for music once again. I wasn't sure that we could top 2007 but all the heavy hitters are coming out and so far I believe 08 will leave 07 in the dust. We now have Spiritualized, R.E.M, Oasis, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Kills, The Gutter Twins, The Kooks and Moby slated for releases between now and May.
I do hope Spiritualized tours this year and actually makes a stop in Detroit, I have yet to see them.
