Buffalo Tom announce new studio album
Buffalo Tom have announced details of their new album, their first in nine years. The Boston band's seventh studio album 'Three Easy Pieces' will be released on July 10. The record will be preceded by the single 'Bad Phone Call' on June 26.

Like I said before 2007 is getting better and better. My favorite band Buffalo Tom have decided to release a new cd and it will be available this July. If you are not familiar with BT, they started back in the late 80s under the guidance of J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr fame. They broke away from the fuzzed out feedback and developed their own sound which gave us 6 amazing full lengths and tons of singles and EPs. BT can take raw emotion and wrap it into a great guitar rock sound unfettered by the flavor of the month sound. Bill Janovitz has also given us 3 solos to date and kept the idea of a BT return alive. I can't wait for this release, it will definitely be in my top 10 for 2007 along with Ryan Adams, Grant Lee Phillips, The National and Son Volt. 2007 will be hard to make a best of list since so many good cds have come out. I usually add about 20 but I see my list possibly growing to 30 this year.
