Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Alberto Gonzales's days are numbered. Bush is scheduled to give a speech today at 5:45pm either he will replace Alberto or try to calm the scandal. If Bush says Alberto is a good man and deserves to stay it will be a few days from now that Alberto has decided to step down and here is his replacement. If Bush was smart he would just replace him today and try to save face.
Btw, the senate today voted 94-2 to strip a provision from the Patriot Act that allowed the Attorney General to bypass the senate on confirmation of US Attorneys. This was placed into the Patriot Act during the renewal process and the AG planned on using his new found power. Too bad it didn't work and the blow back may cost him his job. Good riddance I say, the tool supported the torture of people, the Patriot Act and was Bush's personal lapdog. One by one they all fall down.
Next in line is Karl Rove......
