14 miles of Lodge to close for major roadwork
The full closure will detour M-10 traffic between Lahser Road in Southfield and M-8 (Davison Freeway) in Detroit. During the closure, all M-10 traffic will be detoured to I-75. According to MDOT, the project includes the following details:
Reconstructing the Lodge between Lahser and Meyers roads.
Repairing M-10 from Meyers Road to Interstate 94.
Bridge repairs will extend from Lahser Road to Martin Luther King Boulevard.
To accommodate the pavement and bridge repair from Meyers to I-94, one lane of traffic will remain open between the Davison interchange and the I-94 interchange.
...................................................................................
This really bites since the Lodge is a great road to take downtown or back home again. It cuts at an angle and saves a bit of time. A few years it was shut down and screwed me all up, here we go again.
