THE DEMS HAVE TAKEN THE HOUSE AND POSSIBLY THE SENATE!!!!!
I havn't found any official numbers but it looks like Dems 231 and Repubs 204 in the house. The last 2 senate seats needed are tied up in recounts, Virginia and Montana but both are leaning our way which would put control in the hands of the Dems. We also picked up governerships in a number of states and as it stands, Dems have 28 and Repubs 22.
We now have the 1st woman Speaker of the House and the 1st Muslim in congress thanks to Minnesota. The stem cell bill passed in Missouri and the religious reign on this nation has finally come to an end. With numbers like these, the Dems control the legislation and will clean up Washington. Bush has his veto power but I hope he learns to play nice with the new leadership.
Its a new day, and time for a change......
