Verizon Wireless Is The Evil Empire

I will start this off with I HATE VERIZON WIRELESS and although I am not a customer I have to deal with them at work. The president of our company has a Motorola Q and it has been a pain in my side for the last week. His phone would freeze all the time so I checked out some message boards for a solution. I found a firmware upgrade that needed to be installed so I did so. Unfortunately 3/4s of the way thru the upgrade it failed and killed the phone. The store wouldn't help and said I had to call for a replacement. A few days later I get the new one, well what I thought was new. I loaded everything up and switched the phone number only to find out the port on the phone to charge was broken. Yep Verizon likes to send refurbs whenever they can. At this time I contacted our Verizon rep, you know the one corporations have and he raced out to the office which surprised us all. He brought a new Q with him but of course it didn't have the upgrade so I couldn't use it. Our president was heading to NY for a few days so we ported his number back to his old cell and sent him on his way. Yesterday our president was looking for his new phone and its been days since our rep said he placed the order. Once I finally spoke to him he said they were out of stock. I had to return a few items at the store so he suggested on getting one there and he would call ahead to have one reserved. I get to the store and the sign in sheet was full and no more pages below it. I flipped it over and signed on the back. The manager comes and stocks the paper and starts calling off names ahead of me so I call him on it. He said I need to fill out my name on the list and not on the back. So I told him he was out of paper and that its his responsibility to keep it stocked. He then writes my name down at the end of the list and makes me wait another 20 minutes. I am fuming and finally get up there to the desk where they tell me I need to bring the refurb phone back to the store in order to get a new one. Of course the people on the phone want me to send it back, gotta love how one doesn't talk to the other. So I drive back to the office and pick up the old one only to return to wait in line once again. After an hour of them trying to do a return, and provision the new one, I finally have a Q that is working and has the upgrade.
Corporate reps are useless, they jerk your chain all the time and the only way I get answers is when I tell our president to call him directly. Within 2 minutes I have a call back. 2.5 hrs of my life was wasted yesterday in the Verizon store along with countless days on the phone with tech support and customer service over the years.
All cell phone companies suck but Cingular is the best of the bunch. This could have been a posting for Kim, Matt & Julie's Dead2Us blog but since I am not a customer I didn't think it was quite appropriate.
