And The Lead Goes Back To

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm's (D) "return fire in her TV ad wars" with challenger Dick DeVos (R) "is starting to move voters her way," according to a new Detroit News/WXYZ-TV poll.

Granholm now leads DeVos, 50% to 47%.

"Granholm's voter support, favorability ratings and job approval have climbed since she and the state Democratic Party started airing television commercials in recent weeks. DeVos had dominated television for six months, spending about $13 million of his own fortune, before the Democrats started shooting back."
....................................

Well its still a statistical tie between the two but Jenny's coming back. I still don't agree with the unanswered ads over the last few months we have seen what can happen and a prime example are the swiftboaters. Granholm was sitting on her cash waiting for the fall push but doing so put Devos in the lead. Its going to be a nailbiter til November in MI but I think Jenny will retain the seat. The trend this year is to go Dem and this will help her big time....

Just remember, $13 million still couldn't put Devos over 50%.................

Hi Randy, I really enjoy your blog. I love hearing what others have to say about bands and music in general.

It is great news about Granholm! I think she will start to blossom in the polls when her ads really heat up this fall. You hit it right on about DeVos spending $13 million and it hasn't helped him get over 50 percent.

I just thought you might find this editorial amusing from the Grand Haven Tribune
