Other than my neighbor everyone else thinks I am crazy when I tell them the 696 expressway changes my local weather. Well here is some proof to backup my claim. As you can see the rain is above 696 around the Berkley and Royal Oak area. The reason, cumulus clouds rise from the heat of the road to push weaker storms northward. If a huge weather pattern is coming thru then we get rain, otherwise its just our neighbors north and south of us who do. These vertical clouds have been my arch enemy every summer. While they keep the sky blue they also keep me watering twice a day.
