Detroit

I went downtown this morning to take a few more pictures for our livingroom and this was one of the best ones I shot. Its of the Ren Center, General Motor's headquarters. I was on the riverwalk which is looking very good these days. They have from behind Joe Louis all the way down past the Ren Cen open and by fall it should be past Chene Park and to Eastern Market. I was very suprised to see how much development is going on south of Wayne State on the other side of the Lodge. There are a bunch of new condos/houses going up there. They are also building new condos behind the original ones on Woodward and 75 and the MGM casino construction looks great. I saw my fare share of scary hookers and drug dealers in some spots but hey its Detroit, something would be wrong if they were gone.
