Yep, our buddy Michael Brown the disgraced former head of FEMA has come out and blamed the administration on Katrina. In hearings today, Brown told congress that he contacted the administration on the 29th regarding the levees, not the 30th. Without the backing of the White House, Brown is on a tell all, finally we will know what went wrong. I am not defending Brown, he should have never been in his position, that I blame on Bush for appointing cronies. I am supporting Brown tho when it comes to telling the truth, he lied to protect the admin back in September but is now coming clean. With Brownie spilling the beans, the NSA scandal that Rove cannot control, I see another terror alert coming down the pipe. Bush layed the groundwork yesterday, talking about the LA terror plot to warm us up and then he will hit us with a raise in the warning level........................................
Brown suggested the administration's fixation with fighting terrorism may have been to blame, in part, for the slow government response.
Because of a focus on terrorism, natural disasters "had become the stepchild of the Department of Homeland Security," he said.
Had there been a report that "a terrorist had blown up the 17th Street Canal levee, then everybody would have jumped all over that," Brown added.
