NSA Wiretaps

Our favorite Attorney General was in front of the Senate today for hearings on the illegal wiretapping our King George has been doing for the last 5 years. For starters Gonzalas was not under oath, so anything he says cannot be taken as the truth. The scumbag repubs on the committee all agreed to overrule the dems and not force the oath issue. So Gonzalas deflected most questions and spread more lies regarding the program.
Sen Lindsay Graham (R) was critical along with Spector (R) but the rest of the repubs gave him a pass. Leahy, Feingold, Feinstein and Durbin did hold Gonzalas feet to the fire which was good but I don't know if any of it will really see prime time news. I won't bore you with the details but the talking heads tonight will try and spin it that the dems support terrorism and that they are weak on national security. Thats not the issue at hand, Bush broke the law and did so willingly since he doesn't believe he has to answer to congress. Clinton abided by the FISA law and ammened it when needed. Bush lied to our face when he said that wiretapping needs a warrant and went ahead without one.
