Passage To India and other Cuisines

If you are looking for some good Indian food you should check out Passage to India in Berkley. Its on 12 mile and the front of the building looks really run down but don't worry the food is great. You park in the back and enter thru the alley, there is no entry in the front. I can't remember the name of my dish but it had shrimp and was made with coconut milk and a bunch of spices. The flavor was very good, it started out sweet and hit you with heat at the end. Erika had tandoori chicken which was probably the best I have ever had.
While on local cuisine, we went to Como's in Ferndale Friday nite, not worth it at all but it was a birthday dinner. The waiter sucked and the food was ok not very warm by the time we got it. We were seated upstairs which I never knew they had one but that might be part of it. The prices are pretty high and I think since it has been there forever people just accept it and pay. I would rather go to Pasquales on Woodward, its cheaper and they at least give you bread with your meal.
This morning we went to the Fly Trap in Ferndale for breakfast, they are probably the best place in town if you want a gourmet meal. I had the gingerbread waffles and a side of potatoes, a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Toast is down the street from the Fly Trap but its not worth it, we tried it last year and it was more expensive and the food wasn't as good.
