Redwoods

Here is a picture at John Muir National Monument where Erika and I went when she was out here. Its about 30 minutes outside the city and an interesting drive down, the road is all windy and no rail on the outside of road. There are a bunch of redwoods and the trails are anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours long. When we went down, it was packed and I think the hike from the car to the park was longer than the hike inside. From there we took off up to Sonoma County and hit a few vineyards. We went to Cline, had lunch at Kenwood and then up to Trentadue where we picked up 2 ports that were excellent. We got a petit syrah port and a viognier which was the one I was really excited about trying. Trentadue also has a chocolate port which we already have a bottle of and also a Zinfandel. We got a zin port from Rutherford Hills so we skipped that one. The viognier is a white and served chilled, more like a dessert wine but with a completely different taste.
