Paso Robles Zin

Here is another great wine from the Paso Robles region of California. Its from Rosenblum Cellars and retails for about $18. Its a full bodied Zin with 15.6% alcohol and goes great with salmon, bbq or just on its own. Right off the bat you can tell its a bigger and bolder Zin, there isn't the candy flavor that destroys many cheap bottles. There is fruit here but its not over powering and you can taste a smoky quality to the wine. The oak flavors come thru and the wine is more structured. The finish is long and the spice lingers on your tongue. For the price I would probably take the Norman Estates Monster over this one but the Rosenblum was by no means a dud. I really enjoyed this bottle and if the other is not available definitely check this one out.
