Me I'm All Smiles

One of my favorite bands Echo & The Bunnymen are back with a live record entitled "Me I'm All Smiles". Trackwise it pulls from their whole catalog and totals 19 songs. What I find interesting, track 1 is "Going Up", the 1st song off of Crocodiles their 1st cd. By track 3, they are up to their latest release with "Stormy Weather" a classic song that can hold its own against any other Echo song. Track 5 has Echo revisiting "Bring On The Dancing Horses", the full orchestra sound gives this 80s gem a new life. You also have "The Disease", "The Killing Moon", "Never Stop", "Rescue", "The Cutter", "Nothing Lasts Forever", "Lips Like Sugar", "Ocean Rain" and "Villiers Terrace" to name a few. All are great songs and sound excellent live. I have seen Echo a number of times and hope they come back around. The last show was a disaster, the sound was all jacked and Ian's voice was shot. They did the best they could but I don't want that going down as the last time I saw them live.
Echo has surpassed 25 years as a band and after the "Siberia" release I can honestly say we have at least 10 more years coming from Ian and Will. The Gallagher brothers have their place in history but do not come close to the level of talent and great music given to us by Echo.
