2000 Château Larose-Trintaudon
Monday, October 23, 2006
I was on my cellartracker website and the drinking window was until 2007 so I decided to open it. This is a bordeaux from the 2000 vintage and from the Haut-Medoc appellation on the Left Bank. This one has a 60% cab blend with 20% merlot and 20% cab franc. The color is deep purple with a smoky nose. With it being 7 years old, its not as tannic but not as fruity either. Its a bit more complex and has hints of black currant and earth.
I am interested to see how it will taste tomorrow after opening up a bit and warming to room temperature.
