Desiree Chocolate Port

Rosenblum Cellars makes a great chocolate port which tastes like German choclate cake with a bit of a kick. It is made with Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz and Zinfandel, two grape varietals from Portugal and one from California. The chocolate syrup comes from Miluakee, WI but the website will not say where. The port is pretty sweet so you could easily get away with serving this on its own or with some fruit. Price wise you are looking at about $20-$25 depending on where you find it.
Rosenblum makes some great Zins so it doesn't suprise me that they would use it to make a port. It has become a big trend in California to make these types of wines and so far Rutherford Hills does it the best. This port does differ a bit since it is infused with chocolate. If you see Trentadue's Chocolate Amore and this one in the same store go for the Desiree, it's a much better bottle.
