It wasn't looking good yesterday when the Tigers were down 2-1 in the 5th to the Chicago White Sox. With 2 outs and bases loaded Monroe stepped up to bat and sent one into the stands. This grand slam brought the Tigers into the lead where they finished the game up on top. The Tiges are still in 1st place, now 4.5 games ahead of the White Sox. They have struggled against the top tier teams so far this year, winning some games but usually losing the series. We needed this win, we need to show the rest of the country the Tigers are not a fluke this year, we are the real deal. Way to go Monroe, thanks for sticking it to them....
