New Glass for the "O" Series
Tuesday, June 20, 2006
New for 2006 is the Champagne/Sparkling Wine glass for the "O" series from Riedel. It may look like a pilsner glass but its not. Its 6 1/4 inches tall and is perfect for any bubbly you feel like drinking. The best part of the "O" series, you can throw the glasses in the dishwasher. I have the Syrah, Pinot Noir and the sake taster glass that is very close to the Riesling/Sauvignon Blanc glass. I need to see both next to each other to see the differences.
Riedel also has a new line called "Grape" that will be sold at Williams Sonoma. They are pretty cool, machine blown glass but they are pulled at the bottom to create a little dip for the wine. They also have a start of another stemless line but only 2 glasses and a decanter so far. They are very cool not sure on price tho.
btw, if you don't have any of the "O" series, I recommend them, you can find them from $15 to $20 a pair which is a great price for good wine glasses.
