A Few More Gone

A few more gone but still not enough. Today Scott McClellan, pictured right resigned as the admin's press secretary. Scott probably had the hardest job in the country, day in and day out he had to lie to the press over and over. He had to spin, stonewall and at times accuse the media for actually doing their job. Scott will be missed, he was a great punching bag but he also became the face of a failed president and administration. He did not want to go but was forced out, I hope good ole Scotty is harbering bad feelings and will dish in the next few months. I know it will never happen but one can wish.

The 2nd to go today was Karl Rove, he didn't resign he just lost his position as policy advisor. He will be focusing on the 2006 campaign where he is the most dangerous which scares me. Karl oversaw some of the most disasterous policy campaigns of Bush's years in office. Social Security and Katrina are just a few of the big ones. This isn't Rove's strong point, he excels in the heat of battle where he can swiftboat the opposition. I just hope the dems are ready for Rove because his back is against the wall this november. We may get lucky and Fitz may throw out an indictment for Plamegate taking him out of the game but we can't count on that for sure. Rumsfeld, Cheney and Condi are still on board so all this shakeup amounts to a bit of window dressing. This won't help Bush in the polls because he continues to ignore the real issues why no one likes him anymore.
