Origami Revealed

Here are some pics of the new Microsoft Origami which is now termed ultramobile pc. Here are some specs: it's a 779g (1.7 pound) 9 x 5.5 x 1-inch mini-tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen LCD, Celeron M ULV processor, 40GB drive, 512MB RAM, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS and DMB options (of course), and Windows XP Tablet with Touch Pack. Price wise its listed at $600-$1000 probably depending on configuration.

I like the concept, you can watch movies, play games, listen to music, surf the web, do actual work. Pretty much anything you can do on a laptop you can do on the ultramobile pc. The keyboard is interesting, you use your thumb to type which then gets your screen all dirty. It reminds me of a portable playstation just bigger. You could sit in a coffee shop, grab the wi-fi and chill out.

Would I ever buy one, probably not since I think its too much money. If it was $300 I would but $600 its not worth it.
