Franz Ferdinand Flys Again

Franz Ferdinand is back, well not quite yet, you have to wait til October but it should be worth the wait. Franz led the charge with the post punk, 80s revival which countless bands have copied and sucked at. Franz deserves the all the praise, they came onto the scene with something new, well something borrowed but new to current scene. I could go on with a list of copycats but will spare you the details, just remember Franz was here 1st. Hopefully this puts the Killers to bed, I am sick of their 1st cd, it is crap but still gets played. Franz will show the world how to come off the high of the 1st cd and not suffer the sophmore slump. The Killers on the other hand, are milking this one for all they can because they know their next cd will suck and they will be a flash in the pan, 1 cd wonder. The Strokes will be dropping their 3rd cd in January, they narrowly avoided the sophmore slump although some people think Room on Fire deserves the label. The cd was ok, the band came out and said it was Is This It Part 2 and that the next one will be something new. The Strokes hype was supersized and I think they were given a pass for their 2nd cd, something most people would never do. With that in mind, their 3rd better be groundbreaking, if not they will be laughed out of town.
